Directions to the Person County Campus

FROM DURHAM: Follow U.S. 501 North to Roxboro. Stay on U.S. 501 (which becomes Madison Boulevard) until you get to Carver Drive (Burnett Automotive Group, Food Lion, and StarGate Video are on this corner. Turn left onto Carver Drive and continue on Carver Drive until you get to Northern Middle School (approximately 1 mile). Turn right onto Memorial Drive and then take the next left onto College Drive. This is the access road onto campus. All these turns are marked with Piedmont Community College signs.

FROM OXFORD:
Take U.S. 158 West, then U.S. 501 North (Madison Boulevard) to Carver Drive. Proceed to campus using directions from Durham listed above.

FROM BURLINGTON (I-85):
Take Exit 150 at Roxboro/Alamance Community College/Haw River to N.C. 49 North. Follow N.C. 49 North to Roxboro. Turn left onto U.S. 501 North Bypass (Madison Boulevard) and continue north to Carver Drive. Proceed using directions form Durham listed above.

FROM VIRGINIA AREAS:
Following U.S. 501 South from South Boston, Va. to Roxboro. Turn right onto Memorial Drive and continue to College Drive; turn right onto College Drive and proceed onto campus.

Building Inspection Services
Through an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Building Inspection Services with Person County, the County Inspection department provides building inspection services within and for the City of Roxboro including, but not limited to enforcement of: State and local laws and ordinances and regulations relating to the construction of buildings; the installation of facilities as plumbing systems, electrical systems, heating systems, refrigeration systems, and air conditioning systems; the maintenance of buildings in a safe, sanitary and healthful condition, etc..

Per agreement, no building permit can be issued for any construction, repair, or improvement to any land or structure within the City of Roxboro unless a zoning permit has been issued or comparable approval has been given by the City's Planning & Development Department. No Certificate of Occupancy can be issued for any structure with the City unless a valid Certificate of Compliance is obtained for the Planning & Development Director.

The Person County Inspection Department is located on the north side of Court Street, across from the Person County Court House. The physical and mailing address is: 20 Court Street, Suite C, Roxboro, North Carolina, 27573.

Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Inspectors are available for your calls & inquires
8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
